Morito Shrine (森戸大明神, Morito Daimyōjin) is a small shrine in the town of Hayama. It was built by the first Kamakura shogun, Minamoto no Yoritomo in the 12th century, and today is famous for the red torii gate which stands in the middle of the sea on a small island of rocks. From the shrine’s ground you can see Enoshima and, on a clear day, Mount Fuji in the far distance.
