Lively student district in north of Tokyo Imperial Palace and the business district around Tokyo Station that is known for its cheap curry houses and second-hand book stores. It is also home to one of the country’s most important (and controversial) shrines: Yasukuni Shrine.

More relaxed and laid-back than some of Tokyo’s other central districts, the area is well worth a weekend stroll when the weather is good.
