Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

These two structures were formerly customs warehouses for Yokohama port. They underwent extensive renovation before re-opening in 2002. Today they contain small boutiques, craft shops, and a handful of restaurants and cafes. Open-air events are often held in the surrounding plaza.

Decks Tokyo Beach

Another shopping complex on the beachfront. It includes Tokyo Joypolis (a Sega games arcade), Legoland Discovery Center, and Madam Tussauds.

Tokyo Solamachi

Shopping and entertainment complex at the base of Tokyo Skytree. It contains over 300 shops, a postal museum, a small planetarium, and Sumida Aquarium.

Roppongi Hills

Roppongi Hills is one of the most famous commercial complexes in Tokyo. It opened in 2003 to much fanfare and is today the centrepiece of the wider Roppongi re-development housing shops, restaurants, a cinema, the Grand Hyatt Tokyo, Mori Art Museum, and the Tokyo City View observation deck.
