The POLA Museum of Art was established by Pola Orbis Group, a Japanese cosmetics company, and showcases the private collection of the company’s former head, Suzuki Tsuneshi. The building itself is also something of a work of art: located in a forest of beech trees, it was designed to blend in with the surrounding area and much of the museum is consequently below ground level.
