Held annually at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, the Tokyo Game Show is one of the largest video game exhibitions in the world. Over 300 exhibitors from almost 40 countries and regions gather for this massive global convention. While major Japanese publishers traditionally dominate the show floor, countless international developers also join to showcase cutting-edge technology, spanning next-generation console titles, artificial intelligence, and smartphone gaming. The highly immersive environment allows attendees to test unreleased games, experience advanced VR headsets firsthand, and purchase exclusive merchandise from the dedicated sales area. The venue additionally features thrilling live e-sports tournaments and vibrant cosplay zones. The massive event runs for four days in late September, but general public access is strictly limited to the weekend.
