The Hara Museum of Contemporary Art—one of the oldest contemporary art museums in Tokyo—opened in 1979 to display the private collection of a wealthy Japanese businessman by the name of Hara Kunizo. The collection today consists of over 800 works from the post-1950s era including works by Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns. The Café d’Art overlooking the courtyard of the museum is also recommended.
