This oddly named festival was started in 1956 by the store owners in the commercial district around the station with a nod to April Fool’s Day. The Akabane Baka Matsuri has the usual dancing, music, and food stalls, along with a flea market and flamboyant parade on the last day. Not your usual matsuri. The event takes place around Akabane Station. 9:30-21:00 both days.
