First held in 2011 to celebrate 100 years since the formation of Taiwan, as well as an event to send donations to Fukushima in the aftermath of the Tohoku Earthquake that happened that same year, the Taiwan Festival proved such a hit that it has turned into an annual event to promote the culture, art, and cuisine of the country. If you miss this one, there’s another Taiwan Festival in June at Yoyogi Park. The event is held between 10am and 9pm each day (until 7pm on the last day).
Event details are taken from official sources whenever possible. It is always prudent to check the official event website before attending to make sure that there have not been any changes. If you know of an error in the calendar, then please let me know through the contact form.
