Shonan Hiratsuka Fireworks Festival

The Shonan Hiratsuka Fireworks Festival (湘南ひらつか花火大会) is a spectacular summer event held along the breezy Kanagawa coastline. Because the fireworks are launched from the far end of the Hiratsuka Shinminato Marina, safely distanced from the shoreline, spectators relaxing on the beach are treated to a completely unobstructed view of the night sky. The display features approximately 3,000 vibrant fireworks, brilliantly choreographed and synchronized to a dynamic musical soundtrack.

Before the main aerial show begins, the festival atmosphere is energized by a powerful traditional taiko drumming performance along the coast. Arriving early is highly recommended to secure a comfortable spot on the sand and enjoy the pre-show entertainment. Please note that the event will be postponed in the case of stormy weather.
