The artisan sake event returns this year with 100 producers participating over the course of 10 days. There will be 10 different producers per day and each day has a new theme, e.g. “Sparkling Sake Day”, “The Men from Kyushu Day”, and so forth (full event list on the official website). It usually attracts about 80,000 people. Live bands and DJs join the event at the weekends.
Event Details & System
Midday to 9pm each day. ¥3,500 gets you a craft sake starter set with a glass (which you can keep) and 6 drink/food coins. Additional coins will be sold for ¥1,500 (6 coins) or ¥2,500 (11 coins). Some of Japan’s best restaurants also make an appearance with exclusive snacks and desserts. Not the cheapest of events, but a good option if the weather isn’t letting you enjoy spring.
