The Roppongi Hills Christmas Market is held annually at Oyane Plaza, the sheltered walkway adjacent to the Roppongi Hills central hub. While modest in size and featuring only a handful of stalls, the event leverages the sophisticated energy of the district to create an authentic European atmosphere. Much of the market is modeled after the world’s largest traditional Christmas market in Stuttgart, Germany, offering a classic selection of festive goods, bratwurst, hot spiced wine, and German beer.

A primary draw for many visitors is the Käthe Wohlfahrt stall, renowned for its authentic German ornaments, nutcrackers, and holiday decorations. Because the plaza is situated in a high-traffic commercial and transit hub, it becomes exceptionally congested on weekend evenings; a weekday afternoon visit provides a much more comfortable experience for browsing the stalls. The market is conveniently located near the Keyakizaka illuminations, making it an ideal stop during a winter walk through the area. While many food and drink vendors accept electronic payments and IC cards, carrying cash is advisable for smaller craft purchases.
