The Kyoto International Manga Anima Fair (also known as KYOMAF) is a mid-scale event to promote the anime and manga industry. Unlike some other similar events in Japan, this one is more business-orientated with individual booths from companies in the broadcasting, publishing, and educational industries hoping in search of the next generation of talent. It’s not all serious, however: there is also a gallery cafe, workshops, speciality goods on sale, and the obligatory cosplay photo area.
