Annual Japanese Clover Festival (萩まつり) at Mukojima Hyakkaen Gardens in Sumida. The garden is one of the capital’s slightly lesser known, but its pond and bridge with Tokyo Skytree Tower looming in the far distance is very scenic and the garden is worth a visit any time of the year. From mid-September the Japanese clover (“hagi”) come into bloom and turn the park a delicate pink.
