Ebisu Bon Odori

Fri, July 31, 2026
Ebisu, Shibuya, Tokyo

The Ebisu Ekimae Bon Odori is a high-energy summer festival held at the West Exit of Ebisu Station. Centered on a grand, illuminated yagura tower, the event features synchronized folk dancing to live taiko drumming and the “Ebisu Ondo” anthem. The festival is noted for its vibrant urban atmosphere, where traditional yukata attire contrasts with the modern city skyline. It is one of Tokyo’s most accessible bon odori, inviting all attendees to join the circular dance formations throughout the evening.

Visitors should anticipate heavy crowds and follow managed pedestrian routes near the station hub. Arriving early is recommended to secure a vantage point of the yagura or to find space to join the rotation. While the surrounding district offers diverse dining, local festival stalls generally require cash for transactions.
