This annual Motor Sport Japan event is free to enter and attracts about 80,000 visitors over the course of the weekend. It’s not just racing cars that make an appearance—you can also see trial bikes and Dakar rally trucks in action. There is also an “Experience Zone” where you can be driven round the test track, a kid’s kart zone, and a “Legend Zone” where you can see classic racing cars. There are three areas to the event with about 50 car/parts manufacturers taking a stall. And of course there’s always the side attraction of the glamorous pit girls.
The exhibition area is usually the main attraction. Check the time schedule on the official website if you want to see drift displays or the Dakar rally cars. There are several raised platforms around the area so you’re guaranteed a good view. The event runs from 10:00-17:00 on both days (from 9:15 on the Sunday for the racing passenger experience).
