This website started as an excuse to understand WordPress and the basics of HTML, CSS, and PHP. Originally, the articles were photography related, explaining technical concepts such as diffraction and white balance in a language that was easy to understand, but after I returned to Japan in 2014 I gradually expanded it to include posts about the Japanese language, a searchable Japanese language school database, Tokyo sightseeing guide, and to list events and festivals in and around the capital.
I have also put the core articles from the travel guide section of the website into an eBook so that visitors can carry around an offline format on their iPhones and Apple devices. The eBook is free to download, but unfortunately only available on the iBooks store for now. I may at some point produce a Kindle version, but the intention was never to charge for the eBook and only Apple lets authors distribute content for free.
