Opened in May 2012, Tokyo Skytree Town is a commercial complex located in Oshiage, the centrepiece of which is Tokyo Skytree—Japan’s tallest structure at 634m. Tokyo Solamachi, a shopping and entertainment complex, surrounds the base of Tokyo Skytree, and houses an aquarium and a small planetarium. Tokyo Skytree Town can be reached from Asakusa in 10-15 minutes by foot so you should think about seeing both areas on the same day.
